This is a nice beanie and scarf set. They have a pretty textured geometric design -- some sort of cross-stitch type pattern on the main part of both pieces (they look like interconnected K's) and ribbing on the cuff of the beanie and at each end of the scarf. The hat and scarf are made of 100% acrylic so they are light and warm, although I have to say they don't feel all that soft. The beanie fits me well -- snug enough to stay in place but not tight. It comes down well over my ears. It has plenty of elasticity so I think it should stretch enough to fit most people. It has a soft, black, fleece layer inside for added warmth. The scarf is a good width and length. When I just have it hanging loose around my neck, the ends fall to mid-thigh (I am 5'4" tall) and when I loop it around once, the ends fall to about my waist. It is wide enough to lie in folds around my neck and provide good protection against wind and cold. However, I live where winters are mild, and temperatures are rarely lower than the upper 20's. This set might not be warm enough for really cold days where winters are severe. I ordered the wine color which is a deep, rather subdued shade that will look equally great with my grey wool coat or my denim jackets. The current price of $24.99 seems reasonable to me. The set came packaged in one of those sturdy bags made of heavy plastic that closes with snaps (much better than the more usual ziplock type bag).
